Sam Shields joined Munro Partners in July 2018 as Operations Manager and was promoted on 1 July 2020 to Operations and Risk Manager and again in 2023 to Head of Operations and Risk.

Sam is focused primarily on fund operations and systems, counterparty onboarding and oversight and new fund projects, in addition to supporting the Chief Executive Officer with day-to-day operations, risk management and supervision of  management company. Sam’s industry experience includes financial operations and analysis at Citigroup Global Markets and Zenith Investment Partners and commercial analysis and management in the mining sector with Iluka Resources and Mineral Deposits Limited.

Sam holds a Master of Applied Finance from Macquarie University and a Bachelor of Commerce from Monash University.
