Joanna Tan joined Munro Partners in December 2018 as the Fund Operations Analyst, was promoted to Fund Operations Manager on 1 July, 2020 and again in June 2021 to Partner and Financial Controller.

Joanna has 5 years of experience in private equity. Her career began at Schulze Global Investments Ltd (“SGI”) based in Singapore. SGI is an American private equity that focuses on investment activities in emerging and frontier markets. During her tenure, Joanna managed both equity and debt funds with a total capital commitment of USD100 million across Asia and Africa. Joanna was then assigned to take over the role of headquarter accountant. Joanna worked alongside with the CFO and her main responsibilities were to manage 15 holding companies’ books, cash budgeting, monthly cash reporting and consolidation and US tax reporting.

Joanna was also a Fund Accountant in Apex Fund Services (Australia), responsible to perform administration services to an Australian based private equity manager with a total capital commitment of USD950 million.

Joanna is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA), holds a Master of Professional Accounting from Monash University and a Bachelor of Media from Murdoch University.
